However, I was disappointed that I did not get to try the Zipline. I heard from Kimleng that it was COOL as he had tried it! There were too many youths waiting in line for this exciting yet scary (probably for me) activity & there was insufficient time left for others I-want-to-try-it youths. Hehe, what a cool (in a blue words) name to describe them. Haha!
The campfire was the best part as there was a lot of youths letting their hair down dancing, shouting, running around & performing wildly. The game we played was "Which team shouts the loudest" (I guess) At the end of the campfire, the youths held each other's shoulders to form a human chain which was driving me dizzy. However, it was fun feeling the song vibration echoing from the ground :) Jaslyn & I was so shy to dance, we joined them halfway....
The Blind Man's Trail was to build trust and communication- for hearing youths. I was placed second last position of the chain. I could feel their voices which meant they communicated to others about directions, I guess.... As for a hearing-impaired girl like me, it was hard as I had to hold on the person's shoulder so that I would not break the chain. It broke twice!!! Sigh...
The rock climbing activity was a struggle for my arms :( My legs were able to push me up. However, my arms could not reach the rock on the left side which was a great disappointment for me :( :( :( Nvm, at least, I gave my utmost best at reaching the other rocks b4 I reached the difficult level.
The Wall activity, hmmm I am not sure because u might have already read Jaslyn's blog. YES! My exact sentiments, the 3 monkeys in my class were really hilarious! Although, it was quite dangerous for them to play while doing The Wall activity, I had fun laughing laughing loudly. I bet my face was red that time! Haha!
Lastly... The Labrador Challenge was an exhausting one. It required my class to walk 6km trail, we had to reach 3 checkpoints and complete each activity. I thanked my trainer, Shaffy for giving Jaslyn and I the opportunity to lead the way back to campsite which we almost turned down her offer. We successfully reached the campsite with some help from her. Thanks Shaffy for your laughter, understanding and concern. I miss you!
The Labrador Nature was a memorable moment, feeling the breeze was peaceful. I want to go back again! It really bought back memories of SSD which we visited here together (:
