I had immense fun with Kim Leng. Initially i decided to go to Eastlink at Tampines to watch The Amazing Race with him. But when i asked mum for permission, she surprisedly asked me to invite him over to my house instead.
After bringing him to my house, my whole family including KL and i watched TAR with gusto. KL and i were supporting the same team called Shopping Hosts.
Initially, Jill and Thomas was in first position while Shopping Hosts and Doctors (both teams are females, cool) were in second and third positions respectively. Humph! They were pretty competitive.
In the end, what made me hyper happy and proud was that Doctors and Shopping Hosts came in first and second positions respectively. My big congratulation to both female teams. Doctors are the first females team who came first. First time to have a female team to win first in TAR!! It was super awesome!
After watching TAR, i beckoned KL to come to my room for the first time. He became suspicious. Haha. But he still walked in and was asked to close his eyes until i tapped his hand. After my final peek at him to ensure that he was not peeking too, i pulled out from a pile of papers the blue gift filled with an unforgettable promise from my study desk.
Then i softly tapped him and he opened his eyes slowly. And there, his eyes landed on the piece of the best sketch i ever did. He began to smile... "Wow," he said. He commented that my sketch on the singlet was so detailed. He looked impressive with my efforts. It was actually a Christmas promise. Glad he loves it.
Frankly, it was a struggle for me when i played with shadows while sketching. But what i realised was that adding shadows to the sketch helps to make the drawn picture look real. It was hard. I had to ensure that i did meet the correct tone of shadows. I used numerous tissue papers to rub over the pencil ink to make shadows repeatedly until i got the correct tone of shadows. However, what made me satisifed was the final result. It ended up being my best and favourite sketch of a human being. And i have already passed it to my best friend forever. Sad yet happy.
Later, Ian wanted to play SNAP cards with KL and me. SNAP cards is when a player places the same card above the same card, he will try to put his palm on the card to prevent other players' palms lying on it. It was fun! Ian is really a pro!
After playing and laughing for a while, KL and i decided to rest by chatting. Then something hit my mind. I asked him to come to my room again and i switched my desk lamp on and eventually switched it off. There, a little dolpiglet (name of a dolphin keychain I named) started to glow delightedly in the darkness. KL looked delighted to see it glow brightly. This keychain has been tied to the lamp's tall "neck" for two years without failing to glow.
While i peeked into the master room where parents were watching tv inside, without realising that KL was also peeking above my head. I asked him whether he wanted to watch that show Dream Potters. He said "What's that show?"
Out of the blues, i switched tv on and we watched another show Dream Potters in the living room. After that, i sent KL to the bus stop. Thank God that he managed to catch bus 38 on time.
