Today was a mixed emotions of surprises.
One of my group members came back to Singapore without any knowledge. I gazed at him as he hurriedly stood besides me and started worshipping at Youth Ministry as he was late. At my first glance, he looked unfamilar with his new hairstyle - almost botak with tiny layers of hair on his head. I tried to recognise his face and muscular figure but I failed. But someone came to my mind and it was someone I know. Maybe it's him, I thought to myself and shifted back to worshipping.
When the ballroom which is used for Youth Ministry, was illuminated with full lights after worshipping with dim lights, the mysterious boy turned out to be Sylvester. (:

Welcome back, Sylvester!!
Anyway, there was another surprise but it was sadder than the former. I just found out that Ronda will be stepping down her duty as a group leader and is replaced by Rebecca and Justin. She spoke such a lovely brief speech to the group saying that she wanted to focus more on ushering ministry, saying how well the group grow in terms of faith, blah blah and I felt like tearing. She shed a few tears and it was touching seeing her tear.
Afterwards, the group gathered to form a goodbye lane, holding out our hands for Ronda to high-five as she walked down its lane. Awww, poignant?
Ronda, thank you for being such a wonderful interpreter in the church and I love your radiant smile the most apart from your retardness. (: May your journey of doing ushering ministry be a fulfilling year in time to come. (:
