Though December is a rainy month...
December is still my favourite month.
December is still my favourite month.
The month I turn a year older.
The month I receive lovely gifts.
The month I celebrate my mummy's birthday.
The month I celebrate my brother's birthday.
The month I celebrate my Father's birthday - Christmas Day.
Lastly, it's a school holiday for me. (:
But I got to say "No" to my upcoming school holiday for the first time. This is because I will be at my first workplace for my internship. My very first job ever. Yes, I'm a little nervous for it starts on 10 Dec. I have barely any working experience at all. I hope that I can easily adapt to a new environment, this time, not a new school but a working environment. :/ After my internship, I have to write a 4-full pages report on what I have learnt, done, and what strengths and weaknesses I'm going to find throughout my internship. ): Despite hating to do the report, I have to do it to earn 3 credit units. I know it isn't a big effect on my GPA but I'm going to give it my best shot. I aim to get an A for this. :D So as to push my GPA up a little.
I hope, at the end of this brand-new experience, to be more independent and know what to do if I'm looking for another job. I hope to enjoy every bit of working moments despite knowing that working to earn my keep isn't at all enjoyable.
This December, I will also experience how a student juggles between studies and work as I have to mug for my upcoming Costing CA2 which falls on 21 Jan next year. ): Almost everything happening in December will be new to me. (:
And, another thing I'm looking forward with so much gusto is YM Church Camp 2012. It will be from 13 to 16 Dec. A day before my birthday. Last year, the camp was from 15 to 18 Dec. (: My small group and camp group gave me the most pleasant surprise. I have always dreamt of having that kind of birthday surprises. And, it actually happened! :D
Next, this month is also a month I finally find some time to try composing my second song and it's specially for someone I mostly love and respect. I just finished my first draft yesterday and submitted to my guitarist who will be tuning, polishing, modifying and adding in music with her guitar. However, she isn't the one who helped me with my first song, "Signing Hands". So yes, it's someone new, the one I'm working with now. I should thank her for she gave me a brilliant idea. A surprise song. :D I wish I can record my voice into an iPod or a phone so that the one I'm giving my song to will be able to listen to my song and my voice everywhere she goes. Unfortunately, all I can do is let my hands sway to its beats and let my little hands sign the words I wrote.
I'm thinking of using my guitarist's voice to sing so that I can record it into the phone but I think it'll be less meaningful because it isn't my voice. It only makes it sound as if she is the one who makes this song instead of me. But I will still keep this idea in mind though. (:
Anyway, since I'll be turning a year older or rather younger, I've been contemplating whether to invite my closest bunch of friends over to my house for another movie marathon. It's great to have your closest friends over to your house for a birthday party, right? :D But one thing... I don't know what to do if I actually invite them... Movie marathon? And??? Cake-cutting? Wasting time chatting and laughing crazily...?? Haha, I don't really know... 17 Dec will be on Monday and it's a working day for me, right after my YM church camp. ): Yeah, something new... Working on my birthday. ): I remembered spending time with my friends at my home watching a movie, errr, what's its movie name... topped with a lot of chatting and laughter two years ago. My daddy decided to display all cute SSD photos on TV which was actually a last minute surprise, and we laughed at our funny, ugly and childish faces. I don't know what kind of surprises are awaiting me, be it from my friends or my family.
Speaking of birthdays, I planned a last minute birthday surprise for mummy last Monday. :D I remembered attempting to make a white lie, telling mummy I needed $20 for the class graduation photos fees but it was actually only $15. I almost got scolded by daddy for he thought the fee was too unreasonable. Finally, my plan succeeded. I then took a trip down to Tampines right after I was dismissed from school on a rainy day. I remembered myself keeping walking around basement 1 of Tampines 1, just looking for the perfect gift. I only had $1.20 as my pocket money left plus $5 as a change. One hour and 45 minutes passed and I managed to find three gifts consisting of two cute cupcakes (get one, and another one free, clever, huh? I knew my brother loves cakes just like mummy) and a pink weekly diary from Smiggle. All three gifts summed to $7.45. I texted mummy to ring my phone when she was near the lift.
Eventually, came a phone ring. :D I screamed excitedly, rushed and got everything ready with grandma's help. This was because I was still halfway washing my plate after my meal. When the door knock echoed, we were all almost ready. I tried to block mummy from entering the house (hehe), giving grandma time to light a candle. Finally, with fire on the red candle on the cupcake illuminating the living room, on a white plate, carried by grandma, we all sang a happy birthday song with clapping hands. I remembered changing her age to 18 instead just not to make her feel so old. Haha! Later on, I gave my last lovely gift - the weekly diary to her. So happy that my spontaneous plan went smoothly in the end and my night finished off with mummy saying, "Thank you for everything!" instead of "Goodnight". (':
