Farewell

Yesterday:

My mummy left Singapore for Perth with four bible study friends last evening.

I know I am 19 and I shouldn't cry, not when her friends were there. But as we were all squeezed inside the lift, I was just in front of mummy, up close. She suddenly signed, "Be good..." My eyes shouldn't help but swell with tears. I tried saving it from rolling down. Instead, all I could do was hugging her tightly as I sobbed. We were already nearing the departure hall by then.

As my whole family, including grandma sent our final farewell, I cried a bucket of tears when watching her back getting smaller and smaller, and eventually disappeared. It was my very first time sending her off in my whole life. Sending her off to Malaysia for three days' stay was less painful than sending her off for a WHOLE WEEK.
