Hurriedly, we left the house. Arrived at Tampines Mall cinema and booked our tickets. Thankfully, no queue - morning show.
We were about ten minutes early.
What stunned me was that the cinema wasn't even packed!
It was 11.50am and the cinema lights gradually dimmed as usual.
The movie set off with a little introduction about a baker, Bread and another baker, Guobing. Bread was a well-reknown baker and featured on TV. Many people who loved baking or were keen on learning how to bake watched him being aired from France and enjoyed the baking journey with him.
Suddenly, he disappeared when his mother died and his show ended. He then embarked into a journey to Taiwan in the hope of finding the bread his late mother loved and talked about.
It was a tough search as he had to find her favourite bread and hometown which was located in Taiwan.
He was lucky to pass by a bakery shop where he met Ping, another main character. She also helped him in his search of his mother's bread.
As for Guobing, he baked as a job, coupled with a lot of efforts, he lacked creativity and passion for baking.
Ping's father once told him, he had to bake with his whole heart just like he baked for his decreased wife.
He eventually came to much-needed realization that not only putting efforts would suffice but putting his heart and soul into baking to win Ping's heart again.
In conclusion, Bread found the correct bread when Guobing finally caught up and passed him the bread.
In the car, Bread ate it without any anticipations. But its taste made him stop driving halfway and he allowed the taste soak into his mouth. He relished the most delicious bread and was certain this was the one!
Lesson learnt - The reason to finding the right one was when you bake without putting your heart into it, it wouldn't taste as heavenly as you expect it to be.
