I am a little worried although it is not called for. It's the thought of entering ITE without any help from a resource teacher. Shrugs... I have to survive from now onwards which includes polytechnic and university. A heavy sigh.
But I will turn these new challenges into opportunities. :) I will face it bravely no matter what for God is with me. With God, everything is possible! Also, i have faced similar challenges like having a resource teachers to interpret certain lessons each day in BHSS. At SSD being a deaf school, everything was interpreted.
In SSD, it was a little deaf world. At BHSS, it taught me to adapt to a hearing world. Initially a big challenge. I was lost during my first few weeks of secondary one. Gradually, I learnt to depend on my subject teachers, classmates and school-mates when in doubt. However, I learn to rely on my eyes to see what is happening around me, copy notes from the whiteboard and also to communicate with hearing classmates. Some of them even learnt sign language to make the conversation easier.
So i told myself I can adapt and shine at Higher ITE too. Nobody will be spoon-feeding me all the time. :(
Wishing all the best to my future. Hope it will be a bright 2011. May 2011 also be filled with excitement, new knowledge, challenges, achievements and new-found dreams. :D
